Learning and Writing About Ancient History: An IEW-based Structure and Style Course
Experience the adventures of the ancient world! This theme-based writing curriculum exposes students to the ancient world through cultural literature and the study of famous places and events while they learn to write with the Structure and Style®️ writing method. Offering 25 units of instruction, these lessons cover all nine IEW Units. Vocabulary cards, literature suggestions, and access to helpful PDF downloads are also included.
The first half of each class will be focused on a 20-minute history lesson on the weekly topic, followed by interactive academic writing practice utilizing the IEW structure and “Ancient History-Based Writing Lessons” student book.

Assignments
Students will be provided with assignments from the IEW workbook which will receive graded feedback as well as additional interactive history assignments, virtual history tours and other resources to explore.
