Introduction to the Courses
Emerging Youth Speakers Level 1 - Level 5
Level 1:
Course Description:
Emerging Youth Speakers is an engaging and interactive public speaking course designed specifically for youth aged 7-12 years old. Through fun and dynamic activities, students will learn essential public speaking skills, including crafting effective speech openings, using descriptive language to captivate audiences, building a strong vocabulary for confidence, and writing compelling speech conclusions. Additionally, students will participate in "Off the Top" sessions to practice impromptu speaking in various real-life scenarios, fostering confidence and spontaneity in communication.
Course Objectives:
- Develop confidence and self-expression in public speaking.
- Enhance speech writing skills, including crafting engaging openings and conclusions.
- Expand vocabulary and language proficiency for effective communication.

Building on the skills acquired in previous levels, students will explore the art of persuasion, utilizing impromptu speaking techniques from a persuasive perspective, and incorporating marketing and selling
techniques to sell themselves and their ideas effectively.
